In Samuel 17:46 says: “This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel”.
David was young and small. Goliath was very tall, strong and experienced in battles. David offered to confront Goliath himself and he had faith in God that he would be able to kill Goliath. In this passage David shows his courage and confidence in the Lord. Sometimes we don’t believe in ourselves nor in the Lord and think that we are not capable of doing hard things because of our appearance, popularity, experience, and etc. This is a very powerful passage that we can all learn from. We don’t know exactly of what we are capable of doing, but in life the Lord gives challenges that helps us see our potential. Sometimes He makes us go to our limits so that we can come out stronger and get to know ourselves better. This is a hard, but beautiful process of learning and understanding our purpose and true potential in life.
